I was saved as a young girl, and grew up in a Christian family. After I graduated from High School, I attended Word of Life Bible Institute. In 2004 I started going to a nursing college in Syracuse. The first year of nursing school was difficult for me because I was in a non-christian environment and I really desired to have fellowship with other believers. About a year ago I started praying that God would send someone into my life who would disciple me. My parents who had been involved with CBF during their college years encouraged me to try attending the Friday night Bible study at the Jewells. The Jewells quickly welcomed me into their home, and I began attending the bible study regularly. During the winter and spring we went through a study called The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey. I also met with Mrs. Jewell for a "girls" study on the book of Proverbs.
The Jewell's ministry has been such a blessing. They have invested so much time in my life. Mrs. Jewell has been such an encouragement to me with her faithful prayers and godly influence! I am so thankful for Mr. and Mrs. Jewell and their willingness to help me grow in my walk with the LORD! :-)
