Testimony of Denice
Picture of Denice

I remember what I was before Campus Bible Fellowship: pretty rough, stony, lonely, and isolated. When I joined in Fall 2004, I honestly do not recall thinking things would be as they are now. Never have I seen love personified in such a true and pure form. Just the concept of college students taking the initiative in their faith is aspiring.

Furthermore, to have a place where that is nurtured and guided by passionate leaders is humbling.

My involvement in this organization has been the only consistent thing in my life for the past three years. They provide an environment in which I can be me. I am able to examine myself and apply God's Word where I see it's lacking. My teacher Jeff, along with occasional guests, presents Biblical precepts in an easy-to-live format. For times when the truth hurts, they nurse me back to where I need to be in God.

It's evident that some of the relationships formed in CBF will outlast my college career. Certainly, the most important of all would be how much closer I've grown in Christ and to Him through the mentorship of His children, Jeff and Kim Abernethy. At CBF, I have learned to value Christ in my life more now than I ever have in the past.
